Excel
- Submit the sketches of relevant worksheets and charts (eg. refer to page EX5, Fig. 1.3 of the textbook) to your tutor before the end of week 14 (14/7 to 18/7) for approval.
- In week 15 (21/7 to 25/7), submit the Excel file(s) and also re-submit the approved form (refer to instruction 7) to your tutor.
- Each group will hold an Excel Q&A session with their tutor in week 16 (28/7 to 1/8).

Venue is at the Sports Hall. I have no idea if we'd be seated at different zones, but you guys have to check your seat number anyways.

Please note the following :

(1) Notwithstanding the exam timetable, a student who is debarred from any exam will not be allowed to sit for it.
(2) You must:
(a) read and comply with the Examination Instructions to Students.
(b) be punctual for every exam. A student who presents himself/herself at the exam centre, 30 minutes after the exam has started, will not be allowed to sit for the exam.
(c) place your wallet/mobile phone into the pouch provided at the exam centre. You are advised against bringing valuables for exam. The Polytechnic will not be responsible for any loss of your personal belongings.

(d) remember your seat number. Seating arrangements will not be displayed at exam centres.
(e) inform the Exams Office immediately if any of your examinable modules is not shown on the exam timetable

STATEMENT OF ABSENCE ON THE DAY OF THE EXAMINATION

Please submit your MC or any documentary evidence for your absence from examinations, within the next 2 working days following the absence :

(a) at the Student Services Centre (SSC) at A.201, or
(b) online at the Student eServices @http://www.nyp.edu.sg/cf/SIMS/StudLogin/login.htm

Note: Original MC / hardcopy documentary evidence must still be submitted at the SSC within the timeframe as stated above.

Hey guys! :D

Hope you guys are having fun during your weekends since it's already the start of the 2 week holiday! :D :D :D & this is the PERFECT timing for class outings :D
It's really very hard to send smses or even chat with you guys online to ask you guys individually when you guys can make it. I've once called all of you, but some still couldn't make it. :/

Soooo, I've decided to hold a Movie outing (for now) to watch either, The Hulk which opens on the 12 of June, Thursday, or The Happening, which opens on the 13th of June, Friday.
This outing is only planned for this week. Next week we'll have another outing but it's not really planned yet. Another Sentosa Outing perhaps? (:

Once you read this, please let me know, be it by email, msn, sms, call, etc. if you'd be free on Thursday/Friday. Or even both :D My fear is that there'd be alot of people who books their tickets in advanced. :/
Anyhoo, just let me know, & suggest other class outings like places to go. My mind is a trainwreck just trying to think of new/other places.

THE F1 CATERING EVENT
Tung Lok is looking for DHRM students who are interested gaining valuable exposure while working at this event in Singapore.
Tung Lok Group has been appointed by Singapore GP to be the official caterer for the F1 Grand Stand located at the Esplanade. Tung Lok will cater tea and dinner from 26-28 Sep 2008 at the premise and are also exploring to operate some Circuit Park Outlets. This event caters to about 1250 persons per meal period, including 10 beverage counters at the Grand Stand area.
Attachment hours would be rostered depending on the type of catering and needs, tentatively from 12pm to 11pm daily.

As far as homework goes, there's homework for Effective writing to search the internet for a well-written complaint letter, & what makes a good complaint letter. In addition to the mentioned, you'd also have to draft your own complaint letter. Please check in on which Week tutorials to do.

For MS Access, its best to draft out your final Database by tonight, so as to let our PM check if there's any other ways to improve or if there're any neccessary changes to be made tomorrow. Please remember to bring your Access book, as well as your Thumbdrive tomorrow! :D

For statistics, your group project involves coming up with a title, and an objective for a certain survey you're planning to conduct, specifically targeting NYP students.

For those who've yet to collect their Student Card, please photocopy your IC, Graduation Certificate & a photocopy of your IC & proceed to NYP lounge by tomorrow, 30th April, Wednesday. The NYP Lounge is located at the 3td floor, above the boards along Koufu.

Tomorrow, we'd be watching Over Her Dead Body at Amk hub after school. On Friday, there's a Class Dinner with our OGLs. I know we end early on Friday, BUT you can always go back home, lepak, & go for dinner! :D No Menu ideas yet. Not to forget, Sentosa Outing on the 10Th of May!

Access Homework

Discuss with your team members to come out with 2 to 3 tables for your project title. For each table, identify the fields and their corresponding data types. Next for each table, determine the primary, if there is. Lastly determine the relationship among the tables. If no one-to-many relationship exists among any 2 of your tables, make some assumptions. (Due Wed)

There's P.O.A & Statistical Theory for Business Assessments to be done on CMS. My advice is to have the notes (Hard copied ones) with you while you're doing to serve as a reference. Also, to ensure you don't flunk. Statistical Theory, I think, has to be printed out. Good luck to you guys (:
