MacroEconomics - Tutorial on week of 21 Jul (Week 15)

Excel
- Submit the sketches of relevant worksheets and charts (eg. refer to page EX5, Fig. 1.3 of the textbook) to your tutor before the end of week 14 (14/7 to 18/7) for approval.
- In week 15 (21/7 to 25/7), submit the Excel file(s) and also re-submit the approved form (refer to instruction 7) to your tutor.
- Each group will hold an Excel Q&A session with their tutor in week 16 (28/7 to 1/8).

I think you guys have received the Sms regarding our Exam timetable. Just in case you guys haven't checked it out, I shall post the Exam schedule, timing, place, as well as the procedures to take (:

15-AUG-08(FRI), 09:00AM - 11:00AM; MACROECONOMICS (WEEK 18/19)
18-AUG-08(MON), 09:00AM - 11:00AM; STATISTICAL THEORY FOR BUSINESS (WEEK 18/19)
19-AUG-08(TUE), 12:30PM - 02:30PM; PRINCIPLES OF MARKETING (WEEK 18/19)
21-AUG-08(THU), 04:00PM - 06:00PM; PRINCIPLES OF ACCOUNTING (WEEK 18/19)

Venue is at the Sports Hall. I have no idea if we'd be seated at different zones, but you guys have to check your seat number anyways.

Please note the following :

(1) Notwithstanding the exam timetable, a student who is debarred from any exam will not be allowed to sit for it.
(2) You must:
(a) read and comply with the Examination Instructions to Students.
(b) be punctual for every exam. A student who presents himself/herself at the exam centre, 30 minutes after the exam has started, will not be allowed to sit for the exam.
(c) place your wallet/mobile phone into the pouch provided at the exam centre. You are advised against bringing valuables for exam. The Polytechnic will not be responsible for any loss of your personal belongings.

(d) remember your seat number. Seating arrangements will not be displayed at exam centres.
(e) inform the Exams Office immediately if any of your examinable modules is not shown on the exam timetable

STATEMENT OF ABSENCE ON THE DAY OF THE EXAMINATION

Please submit your MC or any documentary evidence for your absence from examinations, within the next 2 working days following the absence :

(a) at the Student Services Centre (SSC) at A.201, or
(b) online at the Student eServices @http://www.nyp.edu.sg/cf/SIMS/StudLogin/login.htm

Note: Original MC / hardcopy documentary evidence must still be submitted at the SSC within the timeframe as stated above.

Late submissions may invalidate the reasons for your absence from examinations.

Guys, persevere! :D Let's work hard & make sure that noone in HS0802 has to retake the module! After the 21st of August, we can go party tgt! :D WE CAN DO IT! And this update is not to scare you guys or to add on to your stress. It is to serve as a reminder that Exams are approaching, so we must put in the extra effort to (at least) pass the module.

Please be informed that homework for effective writing have to be handed in by 22 june(latest by 12 midnight). Do the personality test. After getting the result for the test, type out a report in microsoft word to explain if the results tabulated is true. And then add on information to further describe yourself.

Hope you guys are having fun during your weekends since it's already the start of the 2 week holiday! :D :D :D & this is the PERFECT timing for class outings :D
It's really very hard to send smses or even chat with you guys online to ask you guys individually when you guys can make it. I've once called all of you, but some still couldn't make it. :/

Soooo, I've decided to hold a Movie outing (for now) to watch either, The Hulk which opens on the 12 of June, Thursday, or The Happening, which opens on the 13th of June, Friday.
This outing is only planned for this week. Next week we'll have another outing but it's not really planned yet. Another Sentosa Outing perhaps? (:

Once you read this, please let me know, be it by email, msn, sms, call, etc. if you'd be free on Thursday/Friday. Or even both :D My fear is that there'd be alot of people who books their tickets in advanced. :/
Anyhoo, just let me know, & suggest other class outings like places to go. My mind is a trainwreck just trying to think of new/other places.
